Consider bringing your own sheets for the pull-out sofa, as they may not be readily available upon arrival.

skeldale house was amazin, the drovers room was super comfy & spacious, and we loved the warm vibes there! the hosts, michelle, was really friendly and helped us with all the info we needed, which made our stay even better. and we had a lovely surprise with a bottle of prosecco when we arrived. the location rocks with great views and tonz of walks nearby. we enjoyed exploring the village, especially the bake well cafe across the street!
only downside was the lack of a lift, so if ur on upper floors it could be tricky with luggage. also, i wish the bathroom could've been a bit more modern, but it was fine overall.

charming town, lovely view from window, nods to All Creatures Great and Small
Could really use somewhere to put muddy walking boots in the hall!!! A dual fuel radiator in the bathroom would make a world of difference for drying towels. The TV signal could use an upgrade for better viewing experience!!!

Skeldale House is a gem! The homemade pastries at The Bake-Well just a hop away were an absolute delight. Plus, the room was cozy and beautifully presented. Loved the charm of Askrigg too!
They confirmed my upgrade but still had me in the original room. A bit frustrating, but it didn’t sour the experience too much.

The Austin Studio boasts a charming atmosphere with beautiful decor that enhances the overall experience of the stay. The cozy bed provided a comfortable night's sleep, making it a great base for exploring the local area.
Access instructions for the keys arrived just before arrival, leading to some confusion initially. The small kitchen felt a bit cramped for two people, especially compared to other studios at similar prices, which offered more space and amenities. on-street parking proved competitive during peak times, which could be a hassle for some, and the absence of guaranteed parking might cause stress. Those with mobility challenges may find the stairs and steps on-site a bit of a workout.

Tranquil Escape in the Yorkshire Dales
We cherished our week in the Austin Studio, with scenic views and a cozy atmosphere. The local coffee shop served the most delicious scones, perfect for our morning treat. Be mindful of the rural area. plan trips to nearby attractions, as dining options are limited during the day.

Stunning views and cozy vibes!
We stayed in the top floor room for 2 nights. The place was really beautiful and had a luxurious feel. The views were absolutely amazing, but our room got pretty stinky when we cooked since the kitchen was so close to the bed. Loved the village life and the walking trails nearby!

It was just a perfect match for a short stayover in Askrigg with excellent value for money. The coffee machine was a bit complicated, but I liked having a dishwasher. Bring your own crockery if cooking for more than two people.
